Biography
Growing up in a creative home, Caleb Hebert always had the opportunity to explore different creative avenues: from acting in church plays, to attending symphonic concerts, to even directing and writing his own feature film at the age of sixteen in 2021. It was writing the original score for this film that sparked Caleb’s passion for music composition, as well as earning him the Best Soundtrack awards at both the 2021 Christian Online Film Festival and the 2021 Christian Film Festival. He has also participated in two separate worship teams at his church as both instrumentalist and vocalist. Caleb is attending California Baptist University pursuing a degree in Music Composition for Stage and Screen. Over the past two years, he has scored two video games, 3 short films, an audiobook, and has finished production on a full length original musical entitled, "After Jericho - The Musical". He has also started providing piano lessons to young muscians in Southern California. Besides music, Caleb is an ardent fan of baseball (Go Angels!), exercise, classic film (thanks to his father), and The Andy Griffith Show. His musical inspirations include John Williams, Bernard Herrmann, Max Steiner, Richard Wagner, Earle Hagen, Hans Zimmer, George Gershwin, Howard Shore, Alan Menken, and Michael Giacchino.
“Music, above all mediums of entertainment, has the most potential to touch lives, help people see God for who He is, give them a more meaningful view of life, or simply fill them with joy.”
